Payments
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Faculty Pro checkout is not open yet, and we are not taking payments. This policy applies to every pass bought once checkout opens.
In short
- Passes never renew automatically, so there is no subscription to cancel.
- If you are charged twice for the same purchase, the extra charge is always refunded in full.
- If you paid but your pass did not start, we start it or refund you in full within one business day of you telling us.
- You can ask for a full refund within 7 days of purchase.
- After 7 days we do not give part refunds for unused days, except where the law requires it, or where we close your account without cause or stop offering the service.
- Refunds go back to the payment method you used, through Razorpay, and typically take 5 to 7 business days after we approve them.
No subscription to cancel
A Faculty Pro pass is a one-time payment for 30 or 365 days. We do not set up auto-debit, UPI AutoPay, e-mandates or saved cards, so nothing is charged again when a pass ends. When your pass ends, your account simply moves to the Free plan. We do not charge any cancellation fee.
Duplicate charges and passes that did not start
- Duplicate charge: if you were charged more than once for the same purchase, we refund every extra charge in full.
- Pass did not start: if your payment went through but your pass did not start, we start it or refund you in full within one business day of you telling us (see our Shipping and Delivery Policy).
Refund within 7 days of purchase
If you change your mind, email us within 7 days of the date of purchase and we will refund the full amount. This applies to both the 30-day and the 365-day pass.
After 7 days
After 7 days we do not give full or part refunds for unused days, except:
- where the law requires a refund, for example if the service was deficient or not as described;
- where we close your account without cause, or stop offering the service or Faculty Pro. In these cases we refund the unused part of your pass (see our Terms and Conditions).
How to ask for a refund
Email support@rankerfaculty.com from the email address on your account. Include the Razorpay payment ID (it starts with pay_) or the date and amount of the payment, and tell us the reason if it is a duplicate charge or your pass did not start.
- We acknowledge your request by email within 48 hours. The acknowledgement gives your request a reference number and a copy of your request as we recorded it; reply quoting the reference number at any time to check its status.
- We decide on each refund request within 2 business days of your request. If the refund is due under this policy, we approve it and issue it through Razorpay the same day.
- If we cannot approve a request, we will explain why, and you can ask our grievance officer to review it (see the Contact Us page).
How long a refund takes
Refunds are paid back to the original payment method through Razorpay. A refund typically reaches your account within 5 to 7 business days after we approve it; the exact time depends on your bank and payment method. If you have not received it after that time, contact us with the refund reference we send you.
What happens to your pass
A refund ends the pass it relates to. Any other pass you have paid for is not affected: if the refunded pass was your current one, your next pass starts straight away and keeps its full length. If you have no other pass, your account moves to the Free plan when the refund is issued. Papers you have saved stay in your browser and are not deleted.
Failed or pending payments
If money left your account but the payment failed or did not complete, we did not receive it. It is usually returned to you automatically by your bank or by Razorpay. If it has not come back, write to us with the payment details and we will help you trace it.
Disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us first if something is wrong with a payment. We can usually fix it faster than a bank dispute.
- If you raise a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card issuer, access under that pass is suspended while the dispute is open.
- We may give Razorpay and your bank the information they need to decide the dispute, such as the payment record, the dates your pass was active and our emails with you.
- We review each dispute case by case. If the dispute is decided in your favour, the pass ends and you do not need to ask us for a separate refund.
