Terms of use
Terms and Conditions
These terms apply when you use Ranker Faculty at rankerfaculty.com or buy a Faculty Pro pass. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Vandana Yadav, trading as Ranker Faculty, and "you" means the person using the service. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, Pricing, Cancellation and Refund Policy and Shipping and Delivery Policy.
1. Accepting these terms
You accept these terms when you use the service or create an account. Before you buy a pass, you will be asked to confirm that you accept these terms and the Cancellation and Refund Policy by ticking a box yourself; we never tick it for you. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Who can use Ranker Faculty
- Ranker Faculty is for teachers, faculty members and education staff who prepare teaching material. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
- It is not a service for students or children. Do not create an account for a student, and do not enter students' names, photographs, marks, contact details or other personal data.
- If you use Ranker Faculty for an institute, you confirm that you are allowed to use that institute's name and logo.
3. Your account
- You can use the workspace without an account. Accounts are not open yet and are not generally available; when they open, they will be by invitation only.
- When accounts open, invited teachers will sign in with a one-time code sent to their email address. An account is for one person. Do not share your account or your sign-in codes, and keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
- Tell us promptly at support@rankerfaculty.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- Keep your email address up to date so we can reach you about your account and payments.
4. What the service does, and where your work is kept
Ranker Faculty helps you build DPPs, homework, weekly tests and practice papers, and print them or save them as PDFs. Paper building and Material Studio document processing run in your web browser.
- Papers, templates, logos and your own questions that you save are stored in your browser's storage on that device. They do not sync between devices and are not backed up by us.
- Cloud save is not available. You are responsible for exporting and keeping backups of your work. Clearing browser data, changing or losing a device, or a browser storage failure can remove saved work.
- Anyone who uses the same browser profile on your device may be able to see work saved there.
5. Plans, prices and payment
- Faculty Pro checkout is not open yet, and we are not taking payments. These terms apply to every pass bought once checkout opens.
- Plans, prices and limits are shown on the Pricing page. Ranker Faculty is not currently registered for GST; the price shown is the full amount you pay.
- A Faculty Pro pass is a one-time purchase for a fixed period (30 or 365 days). It does not renew automatically, and we do not set up auto-debit, UPI AutoPay, e-mandates or saved cards for renewal. You can buy your next pass when 7 or fewer days remain on your current pass; it starts when the current pass ends.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Limited, our payment service provider, on its secure checkout page. Checkout will offer the methods enabled for our Razorpay account, such as UPI, debit and credit cards, and net banking. We add no convenience fee or surcharge; the price shown is the total you pay.
- Your payment details are handled by Razorpay under its own terms and privacy policy; we do not receive your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank login. Razorpay's contact details are on the Pricing page, and chargebacks are covered under Disputes and chargebacks in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- Passes are sold to customers in India only, in Indian rupees (INR).
- A pass starts once we have verified your payment. A pass belongs to the account used to buy it and cannot be transferred to another account.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a pass you have already paid for.
- We send a receipt for each purchase to your account email address.
6. Usage limits
Each plan has daily limits, shown on the Pricing page. Daily limits reset at midnight India Standard Time (IST). Limits are counted for your account, not per device. You must not try to get around them, for example by using several accounts, automating requests or interfering with how usage is counted.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Because passes do not renew, there is no subscription to cancel. Duplicate charges are always refunded in full. If you paid but your pass did not start, we start it or refund you in full within one business day of you telling us. You can also ask for a full refund within 7 days of purchase. After 7 days we do not give part refunds for unused days, except where the law requires it or where we close your account without cause or stop offering the service. The details are in our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Our content and how you may use it
The question bank, solutions, layouts, software and design of Ranker Faculty belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Previous-year questions are labelled with their source, and we do not claim ownership of official examination papers. While you have access, you may:
- use questions from the bank to build papers for your own teaching;
- print those papers and share them, on paper or digitally, with your own students and your institute's teaching staff.
Papers you built and shared with your students while you had access may continue to be used for that teaching after your pass ends. You may not:
- copy, download or collect the question bank, or large parts of it, other than by building papers in the normal way;
- resell questions or papers as a question bank, book, app or paid product of your own, or publish them as a collection;
- use automated tools (scripts, scrapers or bots) to access the service.
9. Your content
- You keep all rights in the questions, documents, images and logos you add ("your content").
- Material Studio and the paper builder process your content in your browser; we do not upload it. If we later offer features that store your content on our servers, such as cloud save, we will explain them and ask for any permission needed before you use them.
- You are responsible for having the right to use your content, including textbook material, past papers, diagrams and institute logos. Giving a source or attribution is not the same as having permission.
10. Accuracy and independence
- We work to keep questions, answers, solutions and diagrams accurate, but mistakes can happen. Review every paper, answer key and solution before you use it with students.
- Exam labels, chapter tags and difficulty levels are guidance, not guarantees.
- Ranker Faculty is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Testing Agency, the Central Board of Secondary Education or any other examination body, and it does not guarantee any examination result.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- upload or create anything unlawful, or material you do not have the right to use;
- impersonate another person or institute, or use a logo without permission;
- try to access another person's account or data, or test, probe or bypass our security or limits;
- disrupt the service, overload it, or introduce malicious code;
- use the service to collect students' or other people's personal data.
12. Copyright complaints
If you believe that material on Ranker Faculty infringes your copyright, write to our grievance officer (details on the Contact Us page) with: your name and contact details; the work you own; where the material appears on Ranker Faculty; and a statement that the information is accurate and that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours, review it and remove material where the complaint is valid.
13. Availability and changes to the service
- We aim to keep Ranker Faculty available, but it may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, updates or problems outside our control. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime or service-level agreement. After a long interruption we may, at our discretion, extend passes.
- We may improve, change or remove features. If we stop offering the service or Faculty Pro, we will tell you in advance where we can and refund the unused part of your pass.
14. Suspension and closing your account
- You can stop using Ranker Faculty at any time, and you can ask us to close your account by writing to support.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where we must do so by law. We will tell you why, unless the law does not allow it, and you can reply to the grievance officer if you disagree.
- If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any pass.
- If you raise a payment dispute or chargeback, access under that pass is suspended while the dispute is open. We review each case individually.
- Closing an account does not delete papers saved in your browser; you can delete those yourself in your browser.
15. Our responsibility to you
- Ranker Faculty is a tool to help you prepare teaching material. You remain responsible for checking and deciding what you give to students.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of work that was stored only in your browser and not exported.
- To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be limited by agreement.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. Subject to your rights under consumer protection law, including your right to approach a consumer commission, the courts at Karaikal, Puducherry will have jurisdiction.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. We will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page and tell account holders about important changes by email or in the product before they take effect. Changes do not affect a pass you have already bought in a way that reduces what you paid for.
18. Contact and grievances
Email support@rankerfaculty.com (we reply Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00 IST). Our postal address and grievance officer are on the Contact Us page. We acknowledge complaints by email within 48 hours, with a reference number you can quote to check progress, and resolve them within one month of receiving them.
